The first Inaugural Brain Tumour Conference is being held from 20th- 21st May 2022 at Lecture Theatre III (UON) and online platform.
The conference was hosted by the Units of Anatomic Pathology and Neurosurgery and the Brain Tumour Association of Kenya (BTAK).
The first day was graced by Education Cabinet Secretary, Prof. George Magoha speaking on the role of education in improving health. Also in attendance was DVC A&F, Prof. Ogen’go, Dean,Faculty of Health Sciences (UON), Prof. Wagaiyu, Dean, School of Medicine (JKUAT), Dr Simba, KNH CEO, Dr Kamuri, Chair, Surgery Department, Dr Kiboi and BTAK Chairman, Dr. Okemwa.
The conference was marked with development and management of Brain tumour patients in Kenya and internationally with great presenters including CAS, Ministry of Health, Dr M. Mwangangi.
