Launch of the Wondfo Training centre in Clinical Chemistry Lab

Prof Osanjo launches the Wondfo University of Nairobi training centre

The University of Nairobi – Wondfo collaboration provides a foundation to the state of art technology in the discipline of Laboratory medicine. Through this collaboration, students, staff of the University of Nairobi and other laboratory medicine practitioners from private/public hospitals will have an opportunity to up their knowledge in new trends of diagnostic medicine through exposure to world-classdiagnostic machines as well as their utilization in the Republic of Kenya and indeed the region of East and Central Africa.The skills training center laboratory will also offer an opportunity for the local researchers jointly with researchers from Wondfo to innovate technologies that are best suited in addressing our local healthchallenges.

Other benefits that will be tapped from this collaboration includes joint research, publications and annual student/staff exchange programs to China. The special skilled personnel in the department of pathology will support functionality of the collaboration to further achieve its training objectives.

The launch was graced by the Faculty of Health Science’s Dean, Prof Osanjo on Monday, 10th July 2023. In attendance was Dr Waweru, Department  Chairman, Dr Kuria and Dr Okemwa, unit heads, the Chinese delegation from Wondfo Biotech Company, members of staff and students.
