Ms Rioki with the students
Ms. Josephine Rioki lead a group of well-wishers named ‘Little sisters of Hope’ to support ‘‘A girl child’’ with sanitary towels in Nyamira County, for comfort, and confidence during exam time. In addition to the provision of sanitary towels, the team gave a talk on Menstrual Health and hygiene to the girls and Sexuality to both girls and boys. Pencils were donated to class 6 and 8 candidates to use in the forthcoming examinations. 624 sanitary towels were donated. Snacks were also provided during the visit to the schools.
The donation of sanitary towels was given to students from three schools: namely
1. Rangenyo primary school
2. Kenani Dok primary school
3. Mageri primary school
Ms. Rioki hopes to engage more schools in the program.
