New Department of Human Pathology Chairman, Dr. Ephantus Njagi

The Department of Human Pathology is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ephantus Njagi Chomba as the Department's new Chairman, marking a new chapter in its leadership.

Dr. Njagi assumes the chairmanship after Dr. Peter Maturi completes his tenure, during which he guided the Department. In his new role, Dr. Njagi will lead the Department in advancing its mandate in teaching, research, diagnostic services, and professional training.

Dr. Chomba Shares His Vision with Department Staff

Following his appointment, Dr. Chomba met with members of the Department to engage with staff and share his vision for the Department.

His vision is centred on timeliness, cohesiveness, and quality; three key areas that he identified as important in strengthening the Department's performance and service delivery. These priorities provide a clear framework for the Department as it moves forward, with an emphasis on working together, delivering responsibilities efficiently, and maintaining high standards in all areas of its work.

The Department also takes this opportunity to express its sincere appreciation to Dr. Peter Maturi for his service as Chairman.

His tenure has been marked by dedication to the Department, its staff and students, and its academic and professional responsibilities. We acknowledge the time and effort he devoted to the role and the contribution he made to the Department's development.
