Official Launch of the Wondfo UON Training center

In any learning institution, training is a key component in education. The Wondfo-UON training center was officially launched on Thursday, 23rd November 2023 by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs, Prof Julius Ogen’go together with the President of Wondfo biotech company, Prof Li, CEO Peng and Vice President Mark Xu.

The occasion was also graced by the Director of KAVI, Prof Walter Jaoko, Wondfo Country coordinator, Mr Bear, Chairman of Human Pathology, Dr Peter Maturi, Anatomic Pathology Unit head, Dr P. Okemwa, Hematology Unit head, Dr F. Okinyi, Prof Angela Amayo and Dr. F. Wanyama. Also in attendance were staff and students (postgraduate and undergraduate) from UON and JKUAT.

The officials briefly toured the laboratory and Interacted with students who asked questions. Prof Ogeng’o emphasized on the importance of the training centre in advance research in the university to both staff and students with collaboration with industries.
