PROF JESSIE GITHANGA ON CHILDHOOD CANCERS

Prof Jessie Githanga passion on Childhood Cancers is noticeable as University of Nairobi celebrates 50 years. She has dedicated her life to improve the holistic care of children with cancer and their families in Kenya. This motivated her, together with other colleagues, to establish the Kenya Childhood Cancer Trust (KeCCT).

She has had numerous interviews on the topic and she explains on childhood cancers, diagnosis and treatment. In an interview with Wanja's Health Diary,  Prof Githanga mentions that early, accurate diagnosis and effective treatment is needed for better outcomes of cancers in children in low and middle income countries.
