Immunology Laboratory

The Immunology Laboratory is located on the ground floor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Kenyatta National Hospital. The lab is equipped for teaching practicals and tutorials to postgraduate and undergraduate students. The Chief technologist is Mrs. M. Kamuyu 

Safe Circumcision Training for Haemophilia Patients

Haemophilia is a medical condition in which the ability of the blood to clot is severely reduced, causing the sufferer to bleed severely from even a slight injury. The condition is typically caused by a hereditary lack of a coagulation factor, most often factor VIII and factor IX.

The safe circumcision training was held at Kenyatta National Hospital on 28th March - 1st April 2022 with 40 participants including doctors and nurses. It was lead by Dr.  Peter, Chairperson of Kenya Haemophilia Association and benefited more than 90 patients. 

Department celebrates 37 graduands during the 66th Graduation

The University of Nairobi 66th Graduation ceremony was held on 17th December 2021 with the department producing 37 graduands. 

The graduands were thirty four students with Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, one student with Master of Medicine in Human Pathology and two students with Master of Science in Clinical Cytology.
