Dr Francis Wanyama led a delegation of Rainbow for Africa (R4A) UK, Italy and Kenya to visit Sio Port Sub County Hospital on Monday, 9th October 2023 to carry out monitoring evaluation and to further strengthen our collaboration in the project of maternal health. A lot of positives were tabled especially from the use of Ultrasound machine and the POCT HCG machine that were donated by the R4A.
The hospital MOH appealed to R4A to help them acquire a machine for carrying out HBA1C and also to equip two specialized clinics with tables and seats, including the preconception clinic. Rainbow for Africa promised to look into the issue of availing the HBA1C machine, while Dr. Francis will reach out to the county health department to urgently provide the tables and seats to the new clinics.
