Department in partnership talks with Wondfo Biotech Company Limited

Prof George Osanjo, Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences headed partnership talks with Mr Jie Xiong of Wondfo Biotech Company Limited together with the Ag. Chairman, Dr Okemwa and Dr Barasa.

The talks included partnership in equipment acquisition and staff training in improving the health services to patients and learning experience for the students. 

Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences closes the MITS training

Prof George Osanjo, Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences graced the closing ceremony for the Minimal Invasive Tissue Sampling (MITS) training at the Teleconference room in the Department of Human Pathology on Friday, 28th October 2022.

Accompanied by Dr Okemwa, Ag. Chairman, Department of Human Pathology, Prof Osanjo congratulated the 15 participants in completing the training. He mentioned that the training was in line with the university research week and the focus on making the university the lead in research through capacity building, innovation and partnership.

Training on Minimally Invasive Tissue Sampling at the Department

The Department of Human Pathology is privileged to host a fresh set of training from 24th-28th October 2022 on Minimally Invasive Tissue Sampling, an autopsy technique meant to equip Pathologists, Medical Scientists and Technologist with technical skills that can provide data about causes of death, similar to that obtained through a complete diagnostic autopsy. UoN/KNH, Department of Human Pathology, having been established as a MITS training hub in Africa, will provide the training via a team lead by Dr. Edwin Walong.
