Dr Wanyama leads delegation in Kakamega county

H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa hosted a delegation from Rainbow For Africa UK (R4A-UK), led by Chairperson Dr. Francis Wanyama on 2nd July 2023

R4A-UK is an international organization that promotes health and social interventions in communities in deprived settings. 

The county government of Kakamega will partner with the organisation together with Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology for their first project dubbed, Project ECHO. 

This project will donate portable ultrasound machines to primary level care facilities, Level 3 and Level 4 health facilities, to aid in antenatal care, screening of pregnant women, identification of complications, and prompt referrals for immediate interventions.

In attendance was the Deputy Governor Hon. Ayub Savula, the Dean School of Medicine MMUST- Dr. Donald Kokonya, and Director of Medical Services Dr. Stephen Wandei.
