In a recent appearance on Citizen TV’s Uliza Daktari segment on 21st September, Prof. Mwanda delivered an inspiring message of hope to patients and families affected by sickle cell disease. This years celebration of World Accreditation Day Dr. Josephine Rioki was honored by Kenya Accreditation Service as one of the top Accreditors from different categories on 9th June 2025.
Dr. Rioki was Awarded for Long Service Team Lead/Technical Assessor of the Year .
On Wednesday, 2nd April 2025, the Department was graced by a visiting Professor from Lecturio GmbH, Germany, Prof. Lutz Mükke, to make a presentation on Next Generation digital education platforms for effective teaching of medical courses as well as secure online student evaluation (Examinations). He was welcomed by Dr. Micah Oyaro as the acting Chairman, Department of Human Pathology at the Prof. Kungu's Boardroom at 2pm.
