On Monday, Jan 6th, 2025, Dr. Francis Wanyama led Rainbow 4 Africa UK and Kenya in the County Government of Busia, in the donation of an ultrasound device to the Matayos Level 4 Hospital. The equipment was officially received by H.E the Deputy Governor of Busia, Hon. Arthur Odera, alongside the Chief Officer in Charge of the Health, Dr. Wilberforce Lusamba.
The handover was conducted by Dr. Francis Wanyama Mugeni, Chairman of Rainbow for Africa Kenya, who was accompanied by a dedicated team of R4A volunteers.
With the increase using of AI, Digital Pathology is making a marking in the clinical practice. Digital pathology is the field that uses digital technology to manage and analyze information from digitized slides.
On 28th February 2025, the Department Staff, KNH staff and postgraduate students were sensitized on the use of digital pathology with AI assisted diagnosis in their routine. This was done by the Fujifilm team in partnership with Science Scope limited at Prof Kungu Boardroom.
