On Friday, March 1, 2024, Dr. Francis Wanyama have a lecture at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Chuka University. The University of Bologna and University of Nairobi have partnered on an exchange programs for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Speaking at Lecture Theatre III on Thursday, 14th March 2024, Prof Pier Paolo from Department of Medical and Surgical Science, University Of Bologna (Italy) mentioned the opportunities and challenges of the program and urged the students to apply for it either long term (24months) or short time (a few weeks).
The Department of Pathology was started through international collaboration with The Royal Infirmary Glasgow Medical School, UK. It separated from Microbiology and since then the department has trained over 130 Postgraduates.
On 7th - 8th March 2024, the Mmed Pathology and MSc Cytology students had a training by Dr Jody Julman and Dr Stephanie Johnson from Colorado, USA. They share different topics of cytology, including practical sessions on the microscope.
